Seriously, I have not had rope burn since I was a kid and I now have a horrible one on my shin, but I did successfully complete all 6 climbs. Not bad for not being able to do one when I first started...I just like how John offers solutions to the problems after they occur, lol. Great workout today and I added 20lbs to my max single back squat and did that weight for 3 reps! Feels ohhhhhh soooo good!
ReplyDeleteDid #45 on the back squat but my form is getting better. Honestly I could have added maybe 10# more but I know my form would suffer so it's not worth it. My slowest time was 2:36 on the WOD with modified everything.
ReplyDeleteBack Squat #275
ReplyDeleteSlowest time 4:17 modified
This was an interesting WOD. I had never done any rope climbing before. I must have missed the class for that one. Had trouble figuring out the foot over foot technique. Tried to just muscle my way up with just arms and made it a little over half way up. I used quite a bit of energy just doing that and modified the rest. Was not pretty. The back squats felt heavy today. I'm not sure why. After the WOD I wanted to practice the rope, and with great advice from Pat, I was able to make it to the top much easier. I look forward to more rope work.
#315 for squat and 2:08 mod rope climb.
ReplyDeleteI too had trouble with get my feet to hold me on the rope. SOmething to work on for sure
